When will the Batters Box 2021-2022 Tryouts be held?

• Tryouts for all of our 2021-2022 teams will be held starting in early July through the first week of August at our multi-million dollar indoor/outdoor training facility located in Collierville, TN. Specific tryout times and dates can be found on the 2022 Teams and Coaches page when available.
   

How many teams will the Box have for 2022?

• We plan on having at least one AAA or Major and one AA team for every age group from 6U through 14U.
   

Do we have to live in Collierville to play for the Batters Box?

• No! Although our facility is located in Collierville, TN, we draw from all over the Mid-South due to our track record of developing players. We are always looking for the best players and families from not only Collierville, but the entire Mid-South.
   

Where do Batters Box teams practice?

• Unlike other organizations, we have our own multi-million dollar indoor and outdoor training facility. All Batters Box teams practice outside on our turf infield and LED lit,  Ballpark at the Box directly behind our indoor practice facility. Our teams also practice inside our turf room. Our teams have the best of indoor and outdoor practice all at one location!
   

Are there any parent coaches?

• Yes, we will have some parent coaches that are trained by Batters Box staff, have a deep understanding of the game of baseball, and share our coaching philosophy and mission. We also have roving Batters Box professional instructors that assist at practices and games. Some of our teams are coached by independent, paid coaches. All coaches go through coaches training with Batters Box staff.

 

How much will it cost to play for the Batters Box?

• The cost per player will depend on if the team has paid coaches, the level of team, number of tournaments, amount of practice time, etc. All of these variables will be decided by the individual coaches. The cost is usually between $1,400 and $1,995 per player for 9-13U (6, 7, and 8U teams are much less, 14U slightly more). This cost includes uniforms, gear, indoor and outdoor practice time, etc. Once a player is invited to play for one of our teams, they will then be given all the specific details for their individual team. 

• We charge, on average, approximately $1,000 less per player than other local "clubs" that do not even have an indoor or outdoor practice facility.
